What software could you not live without?
My BlackBerry phone.
Where do you see FM in five years time?
We expect to see demand for facilities management services to continue to achieve a positive growth trend in the next five years, driven by the number of properties that have been delivered or are being completed within this period.
FM services remain strategically important in the region in light of the sheer volume of construction projects being undertaken across GCC countries.
Efforts to boost awareness about the long-term benefits of specialised FM solutions, particularly among homeowners, will be crucial in driving the demand for FM services in the next few years. Imdaad also expects the FM industry to expand in scope, integrating various value-added services to satisfy the evolving needs of customers.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in FM?
Understand what is happening in the area of sustainable building and construction and map out the key players. Sustainability is the new trend in FM, so hit the floor with solid knowledge.
