Unibeton Ready Mix believes its next generation of concrete products will be see a reduction of CO2 emissions.

Despite winning an award for its ‘green concrete’ product which reduces CO2 by 75% at this week’s CityBuild, it is already preparing to take its savings even further.

Unibeton has worked on some major projects in the UAE, including pouring 16,000m3 of concrete for the Landmark Tower in Abu Dhabi. During the construction of the capital’s Sheikh Zayed Bridge Unibeton estimated that its green concrete product prevented 80,000 tons of carbon emissions being spewed into the air, the equivalent of 400,000 trees.

“Unibeton’s vision is to be the first choice of sustainable concrete solutions, and we are excited to have been recognised by industry peers at the CityBuild Abu Dhabi Construction Awards,” said Dr Huiqing He, assistant operations director for Unibeton,

He received the Innovation Award on behalf of Unibeton at CityBuild.
