Aldar says that the 278m, 59-storey Trust Tower, one of the tallest office developments in Abu Dhabi and the centrepiece of the UAE capital's downtown district, is now available for pre-lease.
“Offices are also available to start their fit-out on a phased basis from November 2011 before officially opening in mid 2012,” said Claire Hughes Munro, Aldar's senior manager of commercial leasing.
“Construction is proceeding, Trust Tower will be completed in the second quarter of 2012, the Emporium shopping mall in the third quarter of 2012, and the residential Domain Tower, home to 474 residential units will be completed next year” said Rami Nasser, Director of sales and commercial leasing.

“The entire project will be finished by 2014, including the four star Marriot Courtyard Hotel and the five star Marriot Renaissance hotel,” he added.
Designed by Foster and Partners, the Tower is is part of a huge complex spread over 12-acres of land in the downtown area, which also has Abu Dhabi’s tallest structure an 88 storey luxury residential tower — The Domain; Emporium, a shopping mall; and The Souk, which has 76,500m2 of retail space. Two hotels and a serviced apartment component is also part of the development.
The project, which will boost the revenues of Aldar Properties that got government bail-out in the fourth quarter of last year, is 70% complete.
“We know parking can be a hassle in Abu Dhabi that’s why we allocated 1,500 dedicated parking spaces, the Trust Tower is the largest office scheme with 72,000m2 of offices, the largest office scheme in the capital, a third larger than our Aldar headquarters,” adds Munro.
It will also cater to green technologies “We have cost efficient green technologies also, we have basebuild support for LEED certification for commercial interiors, and we are making sure our tenants follow and are informed of LEED accreditation,” said Munro.
“We know times are tough and companies are now cautious with their spending, that is why we offer to do the fit out and ceilings,” said Munro.
Tenants of the Trust Tower are not only international companies, many well established companies are shifting their bases to Trust Tower, said Nasser.
