Saudi Malaysian Facility Management (SMFM) has been set up as a joint venture between Malaysian based FM company Global Facilities Management (GFM) and Jash Technical Services.
SMFM will be based in Riyadh and will play on strengths from GFM’s lengthy experience of the FM industry in Malaysia and the 30 years of experience in operations and maintenance that Jash already has in Saudi.
Ruslan Nordin, managing director, GFM said: “We embarked on a market study for six months to understand the local demand for facility management services. Both companies took the opportunity to understand each others’ strength to formulate the best business model for the venture to achieve success during the same period. Upon completion of the study, it was concluded that the best way forward for both companies was to establish an equity-based partnership venture for KSA market. The synergy will provide SMFM the competitive advantage required to penetrate both the public and private sectors market."
