The construction work for the Brighton College Abu Dhabi has been completed and will be opened for the school term next week, according to the developer.
Abu Dhabi-based Bloom Properties said the finishing touches are being applied seven months after the structural work was completed by a joint venture of Tiger Contracting and Emirates Link Maltauro.
Set in Bloom Gardens, its flagship residential development, over 3.4ha near Al Bateen Airport, the school will have three areas dedicated to academic, visual and performing arts, and well as sporting activities linked by spaces for outdoor learning and social interaction.
“We have been working tirelessly to ensure that the school is ready for our first academic intake in September 2011,” Bassam El Khoury, vice-president sales and marketing at Bloom. “The completion of construction work and opening of the school adds up to Bloom’s achievements, and translates our vision of delivering a fresh and innovative approach to building communities.”
Bloom Properties collaborated with Abu Dhabi Education Council in the design and layout of the school.
