Qatar is looking for a senior engineer to implement its World Cup infrastructure plan.

Qatar is advertising for a senior infrastructure planner/engineer “who will work as part of the Qatar national masterplan team to plan, direct and coordinate the infrastructure planning and engineering activities for Qatar’s national masterplan,” according to recruitment agency APG Global.
Duties include contributing to the Qatar national masterplan planning documents, managing and preparing the implementation of the Qatar infrastructure plan (QIP), monitoring the implementation of the QIP planning and coordination program, assessing infrastructure needs for urban development and liaising with state infrastructure providers.
The successful candidate with have a Master’s in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Engineering or Architecture, and 15+ years’ experience in urban infrastructure and utility planning at a strategic level, and also in planning projects and policy development for national, municipal, town centre and action area masterplans.
