Nass Contracting has won a contract to provide asphalt surfacing and reinstatement for roads from the Ministry of Public Works worth BHD 2m.
The Bahraini contractor, part of the listed Nass Corporation, said the mandate will run for two years. It is the second contract of its kind won by the company in the last three months after securing a $1.85m deal for a project at the dry dock highway and the Samahij link road.
Nass Asphalt, now ten years old, was originally formed to carry out the pavement works for the contractor’s Hidd Infrastructural project. The division has since carried out other works for the Nass Group during this period as well as some for external customers, such as Mohammed Jalal Contracting, for whom it placed a sub-base for the New Customs Building at Hidd.
Meanwhile, Galfar Engineering & Contracting, the Omani contractor, said it has won a mandate from the Ministry of Transport & Communications worth OMR 50.87m, without giving further details to the Muscat Securities Market.
