The Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) is inviting bids for access-road construction at the Midfield Terminal Complex (MTC) at the Abu Dhabi International Airport. This access road will be the main construction access to the MTC.

The various project elements are as follows:

• A demolition phase (property fence, light poles, relocation of dewatering system and removal of guard railing).
• Expansion of the existing roadway by two additional lanes and one shoulder; and construction of the access plaza, including chain-link fencing, chain link gates, lighting poles, guard hosues, modular office building and utility plant.
• Construction of a utility corridor, including stormwater pipes and electrical duct banks.
• A tie-in into the existing two-lane roadway and roundabout, with a new slip road to access E10 traffic to Dubai.
• Decommissioning of the existing entry gate.

Early works comprise relocation of the dewatering system and lines in proximity to the proposed improvements, a Jersey barrier K-rail along the east side of the existing shoulder to separate traffic from construction activities, and removal of the existing guard rail and lighting poles on the east side of the existing roadway.
