Bahrain's building market has slowed in the last 18 months.

Bahrain’s Nass Contracting said its landscaping division has won a contract to build an artificial grass football pitch at Bahrain Club.
The contract, awarded by the government’s Ministry of Works, is worth BHD 181,189 ($480,543), the company told investors through the Bahrain Bourse.
The deal is the latest in a strong of contracts won by the contractor – one of the biggest in the Kingdom – which includes a brace of contracts for its asphalt division on road projects.

The Bahrain market has largely slowed this year following its civil protests earlier this year and a general slump in real estate in the wake of the financial crisis. The Sukoon Tower project in Juffrair in Manama, developed by Tashyeed Properties, has been on hold since March, sources onsite told CW.
However, Bahrain Bay – a $2.5bn mixed use development - last week awarded the main construction contract to Six Construct to build the second phase of a Four Seasons Hotel. It also has tenders ongoing for road works and the expansion of its international airport.
