Aldar Properties has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Abu Dhabi Education Council for the next batch of schools to be built in the UAE capital.
ADEC is developing the private and public education sectors in line with the government’s 2030 vision, according to HE Salem El Sayari, Executive Director of the support services. The renewed ties follow the venture between Abu Dhabi’s biggest developer and the government entity following the delivery of six Aldar Academies in the last year.
“Aldar Academies is already playing its part it providing educational services which are considered a transformation of the education sector in Abu Dhabi,” Sayari said, speaking at the signing of the agreement at a conference last week.
“Aldar was asked by ADEC to transform and renovate three public schools in line with its strategy to turn its existing school buildings into modern facilities based on international benchmarked standards.”
The Aldar Academies division caters for around 3,500 children from 4-18 years old of 40 different nationalities. Three of these schools were launched in September.
