Abdullah Al-Khodari & Sons, the Saudi contractor, said it has been awarded a contract to clean the cities and villages in Area 2 of the Jazan province worth SAR 70m.

The company has expanded its business and service offering in the last year to capitalise on the strong construction activity in the kingdom, fuelled largely by government investment to modernise its urban areas and nationwide infrastructure. This includes signing agreements with Saudi Kier Construction that they might jointly bid for projects in the Eastern Province.

The company has won numerous contracts in the last year, including repeat work with Saudi Aramco, the state-owned oil company, and contracts to build university buildings and sewage works, two deals to supply infrastructure for the Ras Al Zawr aluminium smelter project in Rabigh, and airport construction contracts.

The company has also set its sights on regional expansion, and is setting up an office in Qatar to compete for the expected major infrastructure projects in the country. This will add to its office in Abu Dhabi.
