Hollywood actor Tom Cruise looks as cool as a cucumber as he leaps from the world’s tallest building in Dubai in footage that surfaced online earlier this week.
The Top Gun star, who filmed the scenes in Dubai last year, is shown running around the outside the Burj Khalifa on a harness and hanging from its frame, in exclusive footage released by news channel MSN.
“This is just another day at work on Mission Impossible,” said the film’s director Brad Bird during the shoot. “We’re a half mile above the earth on the tallest building on the planet.”
The Burj Khalifa stands 828m high.

Cruise, 49, plays agent Ethan Hunt in the action flick, which is thought to feature a chase sequence involving the famous Dubai tower.
The Academy Award-winning actor reportedly told media there were a few moments during the filming when he crashed head-first into the building.
"There's this bit where I come flying off the building, running perpendicular to it, and then launch myself off it, and there are all these cross winds,” he said.
“In the shot you can see that my feet are kind of separated because I'm using them to hold my body away from the building and then bring my body back into the building to fly.
"I'm looking for certain reference points and I'm thinking 'When the hell do I turn back to the building so I don't go headfirst into it?' I came banging into the building, and I can literally feel the fear emanating from the crew, and I'm like 'No, No, I'm okay, I'm okay."
The film releases in the UAE at IMAX theatres and standard cinemas on December 17.
