Bahrain's public sector has erleased a number of tenders this year in a quieter market.

A joint venture between Nass Contracting and US contractor Greatlakes has won a contract from Bahrain’s Ministry of Housing for an infrastructure project at East Hidd worth BHD 21.39m ($57m), it said.
The venture will complete dredging, reclamation and shore protection works for the site, Nass Group, parent of Nass Contracting, told investors through the stock exchange
The company competes for contracts across building work, industrial structures, offshore work and infrastructure in the kingdom. The latter division includes sewerage and drainage, irrigation and water supply, cable installation works, roads and pavings and gas pipelines. The company’s asphalt division has won a brace of contracts this year.

Greatlakes is an Ohio, US.-based contractor specialising in civil construction work.
