$1.3bn worth of projects will be implemented at Taibah University this year, according to rector Dr. Mansour Bin Mohammed Al-Nuzhah.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he pointed out that the strategic plan approved for this year includes 53 projects for improving the university's infrastructure.
Dr. Al-Nuzhah expressed his thanks to King Abdullah and the Crown Prince for their substantial support, which will help the university advance to the ranks of world universities.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al-Anqari, has signed two contracts worth $39.19m for King Abdulaziz University (KAU).

The contracts will see the completion of the English Language Centre and establishment of a building for the preparatory academic year at the university.
Dr. Al-Anqari and KAU rector Dr. Osama Bin Sadeq Tayyib expressed their thanks to the Saudi leadership for their generous support for higher education in the Kingdom.
