Downtown Doha Phase 4 to have metro link

Phase 4 of Msheireb Properties' $5.5bn Downtown Doha mixed-use development will have a link to the Doha Metro, CEO Eng. Issa M. Al Mohannadi has told CW Qatar.

"That is under evaluation with the team responsible for the Doha Metro, and we are considering many options. We will be able to finalise the options in the coming weeks, and we will be announcing the final location of the Metro station," said Eng. Al Mohannadi.

He added that many factors needed to be taken into consideration, such as whether or not the Metro station would be "touching our project or outside it."

Phase 4 is the business quarter of the development, consisting of the main high-rise structures for office and commercial use.

While demolition work has been completed, "all construction packages are on hold, including utility diversion, enabling and main building works" pending the outcome of the decision regarding the Metro station.
