Dubai alone is expected to invest $500m this year on video surveillance.
Gilles Ortega, regional director, Middle East & Africa, Axis Communications told fmME, "retailers in the region are becoming more aware of the security benefits of network video surveillance as well as operational benefits.”
"By taking advantage of a large variety of intelligent applications compatible with network cameras, retailers can benefit from more than just security; including insights into customers’ behaviour that help design better shopping experience.
