Afghanistan's Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) is inviting bids for an operational services contract at Mazar-e Sharif Airport.
Currently there is a new passenger and cargo terminal complex under construction at the airport. The new facilities are scheduled to go into operation in the spring of this year.
MoTCA has decided to outsource core operational functions under a concession contract, and is inviting sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders.
"The overall aim of this contract is to run the airport efficiently in accordance with international standards," states MotCA in its Invitation for Bids.

The successful contractor will be responsible for operation of the passenger termina, passenger handling, baggage handling, ramp services, operation of the cargo terminal, building maintenance and repair, including equipment, the maintenance and repair of vehicles required and cleaning services.
Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures, and is open to bidders from all countries.
Following registration with full contact details, bidders will receive information for the download of a complete set of bidding documents from Kocks Consult.
Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of $50,000 and be delivered to the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation in Kabul by 8 March.
