Rixos Palm Dubai is expected to open its doors within the next few weeks, the President of Turkey said on Thursday during a visit to the new Palm Jumeirah, Dubai hotel.
Abdullah Gul made the announcement after a tour of the site, accompanied by Rixos officials. Rixos The Palm is a luxury five-start hotel originally scheduled to open 1 January.
The hotel is neighbour to H.H. Sheikh Mohammad Al Maktoum's Sufouh Road palace. The built-up area covers only 30% of the total available land. The remaining 70% is dedicated to gardens and a beach promenade.

Consisting of 233 rooms, a Turkish hamam and spa, a private beach, restaurants and meeting rooms, the resort is intended to launch Rixos in the UAE and the greater GCC region.
The lead contractor for the hotel was Sembol Construction Company (SML), a group company of Rixos.
