Libeskind to launch Singapore showstopper in March

A huge waterfront residential complex, designed by star architect Daniel Libeskind, will open in March in Singapore.

A huge waterfront residential complex, designed by star architect Daniel Libeskind, will open in March in Singapore.

Situated at the entrance to historic Keppel Harbor, Reflections at Keppel Bay is the architect’s largest residential project and first in Asia.

The 20-acre site comprises 1,129 luxury apartments divided among six high-rise towers and 11 low-rise villas of six to eight floors each.

Libeskind’s project is characteristically complex – no two floors are alike in shape and size and the towers gently bend toward each other.

He added: “Singapore is a harmonic paradigm of culture, nature and the built environment. I wanted to convey this while highlighting the spectacular beauty of this particular setting.”

The former industrial site, developed by Keppel Land International, is surrounded by Mount Faber, Labrador Park and Keppel Bay.

The high-rises are clad in anodized aluminum panels intermixed with large, glass windows.

Panoramic views are offered from rooftop gardens and nine landscaped sky bridges connecting the towers.

The development received the BCA Green Mark Gold Award from Singapore’s building and construction authority.
