Abu Dhabi-based developer, Sorouh Real Estate, has short-listed eight companies to submit bids for the construction of Golf Gardens in Abu Dhabi.
The firms include: Al Habtoor Engineering, Aktor Construction, Seidco, Emirates Belbadi Contracting, Pivot Engineering and General Contracting, Abu Dhabi J&P, Arabtec Construction, and Ali Bin Mousa and Sons.
Mounir Haidar, CEO, Sorouh Real Estate, said: “We are pleased to receive such a good number of construction companies who have shown their interest in taking part in this phase of the project.

This reflects their confidence in Sorouh and its projects.
“In choosing contractors for Sorouh�s projects we have adopted a stringent policy that is based on corporate credentials and innovative approaches to construction.
“We intend to employ the best available expertise and resources in order to meet the residential and recreational needs for property purchasers in the emirate.�
The tender, which was issued on 24 June, is expected to be awarded this month.
The scope of work will include construction of residential villas, a clubhouse, roads and infrastructure, landscaping and all other essential elements of the project.
The development is expected to be completed by 2008.
