Abu Dhabi is planning to construct a museum that will be dedicated to the Bedouin way of life, according to Mohammad Khalaf Al Mazrouei, director general of Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH).
Al Mazrouei said that the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, was conducting a feasibility study on the project. The museum, if established, will be the first of its kind.
The study is being carried out in collaboration with experts from ADACH, as well as Bedouin communities, who will take part in the process of planning, designing and devising the museum's mission and activities.
