Three men were killed and two others injured this week in a scaffolding collapse at a worksite in Bahrain.
A police spokesperson told Construction Week that the accident occurred at 2.14pm on Monday at a site in Umm Al Hassam.One man died at the scene, two died in hospital and another two are being treated for injuries.
The spokesperson said public prosecutions, CID and the medical examiner are investigating the case.
According to repors two of the deceased men, Vadla Raju, 32, and Anil Kumar, 30, were Indian and worked for Al Hidaya Construction Company.The third man was Kamal Ameen Shareef, 36, from Bangladesh who was employed by a manpower agency.
It was reported the men were installing wall cladding to fix glass tiles on the 7th to 10th floors when a plank on the scaffolding moved and the workers lost their balance causing the collapse.
