Dev Maitra, CEO, Indigo Properties

What does Indigo expect out of this year’s Cityscape?

Cityscape Global 2016 will be a much-anticipated market gauge to get a true representation of where Dubai’s property market stands. We are expecting a positive response from end-users and investors for our newly introduced products.

Do you have any major announcements lined up this year?

Indigo Properties will be showcasing the Indigo Zen project to the discerning investors and end-users. With the first phase of the project sold out, we are opening sales for phase 2, with the introduction of a new three-bedroom townhouse type, Calm, with an introductory price of $762,330 (AED2.8m). With the recent completion of our Orange Lake project, we are also offering the option of fully furnished and ready to move in villas for sale.

Have the current economic conditions in any way affected Indigo’s portfolio of projects?

Our business development philosophy has always been steady and stable. We do not extend our reach and portfolio beyond manageable proportions. This year we have handed over several projects — namely, Indigo Spectrum (residential apartment), Indigo Optima (commercial and retail), Indigo Ville (cluster of townhouses in JVC) and Orange Lake (villa development in Jumeirah Golf Estates).

Ongoing developments include a residential building in International City, commercial showrooms on Sheikh Zayed Road, and Indigo Zen. We are optimistic about the long-term prospects of the real estate industry that Dubai offers.
