Sabic to reduce workforce by 10%

Sabic Innovative Plastics announced it will cut 10% of its global workforce through 2009 as part of a larger restructuring scheme, reported ICIS news.

The Saudi Arabian company came into existence after the Saudi petrochemical giant Saudi Basic Industries bought GE Plastics for US $11.6 billion in May 2007.
