De Stefano + Partners recently released its design for a 38-storey tower in the Burj Dubai District.
A part of Emaar’s masterplanned community that encompasses residential apartments, offices, luxury hotels as well as the Dubai Mall, Burj 34 will be sited adjacent to the prominent Burj Dubai Boulevard—the major roadway of the complex—and directly north of the water channel.
The design of the building has been tailored to suit the ‘urban professional’ as a tower of quality and stature. Clad in serrated glass and a panelised skin, the design of the building was inspired by a dragon fruit, and once complete, is set to hold a distinctive presence.
With powerful neighbours like the Burj Dubai, the exterior architecture responds to its urban context with strength and individuality, not through size, but rather through its innovative form.
The design was recently approved by Emaar, and once completed, it will boast 86% floor plate efficiency and allow residents a view of the Burj Dubai District.
