Safety organisation Build Safe UAE has launched a new service for professionals in construction faced with a sudden job change.
Starting this week, the group is compiling a database of CVs from members of signatory firms. The aim is to help members find new employment in the region, and so keep the local safety knowledge ‘pool’ suitably deep.
BSU was formed for site managers, safety professionals and others to share information about good practice, re-occurring accidents and tool box talks freely at the website buildsafeuae.com.
The database, when sufficiently long, will be circulated to specialist recruitment agencies. Elias McGrath, secretary, BSU said: “The intention is to help identify and communicate employment opportunities as they become available for suitable candidates already situated in the UAE.” He added that the CVs will also be circulated to HR managers from construction stakeholders, by request, and that the confidential data would be deleted after three months.
