Mapei has launched its Mapestone System and Flexcolor 4 LVT products in the UAE.

The Mapestone System is designed to maximise the durability of architectural stone road surfaces in extreme temperatures, while Flexcolor 4 LVT allows installers to securely join together luxury vinyl tiles (LVT).

Through the creation of a long-lasting monolithic structure, the Mapestone System results in time and cost savings by reducing the need for maintenance and repairs, according to its manufacturer. Mapei’s pre-blended cementitious line of products can be used for stone and screed installation, block-stone paving, and the grouting of joints and architectural flagstones.

Flexcolor 4 LVT, meanwhile, is a flexible acrylic grout which, when fixed to LVTs, allows installers to create an effect similar to that of joints between stone and ceramic tiles. The product was used on all floors of the Dubai Future Foundation.

Mapei is also using Middle East Stone 2017 to showcase its latest line of coloured grouts, which it claims are unique in the market. The products’ hues are divided into five collections: serene, traditional, natural, romance, and glamour.

Stefano Iannacone, regional director of Mapei Construction Chemicals, said: “We see huge potential in the market for LVT with the increasing amount of hotel and domestic refurbishments in the UAE.

“Additionally, with the upcoming projects in the pipeline due to the approaching Expo 2020, we have witnessed an increase of architecture stone suppliers using cement mortar. Through this exhibition, we are looking forward to sharing our best product systems and know-how in supplying reliable and economical solutions,” he added.

Mapei has supported a broad range of high-profile projects in the UAE, including Dubai Opera, Bollywood Parks Dubai, and Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Dubai.

Middle East Stone 2017 opened its doors to the public today, and will run until 25 May.

Mapei is currently showcasing its products at stand 6B57 in DWTC’s Hall 6.
