Azizi awards $32m contract for Downtown Jebel Ali project

Azizi Developments has awarded a $32m (AED118m) construction contract for Azizi Aura in Downtown Jebel Ali to Al Qandeel Contracting Company.
The contract was signed by Farhad Azizi, CEO of Azizi Developments and Mufeed Al-Zeir, managing director of Al Qandeel at the Murjaan Ballroom within Madinat Jumeirah’s Conference & Events Centre.
The 17-floor building will feature 479 residential units including 349 studios, 87 one-bedroom flats and 43 two-bedroom units.
Aminities include a fully-equipped gym, spa and health club, as well as F&B options such as a podium-level café, restaurant, and 1,486sqm of upscale retail space.
Farhad Azizi, chief executive officer of Azizi Developments, said: “We are pleased to appoint Al Qandeel Contracting Company for the 38-building project to exemplify our line of high-quality, efficiently-designed residences in this community which will soon be pulsating with life. Partnering with contractors with proven track records, like Al Qandeel, means that this project is moving forward while maintaining the highest standards of excellence.”
Mufeed Al-Zeir, managing director of Al Qandeel Contracting Company, said: “This united effort to make Downtown Jebel Ali the next leisure destination will bolster its position in the region as an exciting location for residential developments and retail projects.”
