Some 180 exhibiting companies and 40,000 visitors are expected to attend the 7th edition of Revestir, Brazil’s premier exhibition for the coverings industry.
Taking place from March 24 to 27, the exhibition will showcase a range of new products for the engineering, architecture and interior design sectors. The forecast for the 2009 edition of the show is $145 million in business, a 12% increase on 2008.
Revestir is the first major international trade show of the year for the coverings solutions sector, and is among the four biggest in the world. In Latin America, it is viewed as the main showcase for launches. As in previous years, Revestir will be held at São Paulo’s Transamérica Expo Center and in addition to national manufacturers, will attract representatives from countries such as Italy, Spain, Argentina, Peru and Turkey.

Featuring trendsetting technology and design, Revestir’s Fashion Week plays an important role in the market, which is expanding on an annual basis because of the country’s rapidly growing housing sector. The 7th Forum of Architecture and Construction will take place alongside the event. Speakers at the 2008 event included the Chinese icon of contemporary architecture, Ma Yansong, and Spanish architect and interior designer, Patricia Urquiola.
Complementing the forum is the Tecnargilla Brasil Seminar, which will offer technical lectures from international professionals, especially those from Italy, where the symposium started.
The 4th Kitchen & Bath Exhibition will also take place at this time, bringing the latest in kitchen and bathroom ideas.
