Riyadh-based consultancy firm Hollandia LiL Bi'A has called upon Dammam Municipality to design and implement a landscape project using recycled equipment and machinery.

The project will comprise of 10 major traffic plazas, each 1 million m2 in size, in Damman, capital of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.

Drilling equipment, airplanes, train carriages, cranes, industrial pipes and trucks can all be reused as part of this venture.

Major businesses are currently being invited to supply the Dammam Metropolitan City Gates Project with their historical, cultural and industrial artifacts.

Sponsorship is also being sought to assist with the funding of certain aspects of the 10 separate construction sites.
Several government organisations have already offered Hollandia LiL Bi'A their support and are in the process of determining which items of historical and cultural interest they will donate to the project.

Hollandia LiL Bi'A will present its development proposal for the Dammam Metropolitan City Gates Project to the public on March 10 in the new auditorium of the Dammam Municipality.

Companies from various sectors, such as oil and gas, banking, construction and transportation, were invited to come together with Saudi Ports Authority, The Saudi Railways Organisation and the Royal Saudi Air Force to see this project through to success.

With the project, Hollandia LiL Bi'A hopes to mix Saudi’s identity with modern architecture.
