Al Shirawi Infrastructure Construction achieved the ISO 9001:2015 certification, making it the first infrastructure construction company certified by British Standards Institution (BSI) in the region against the 2015 edition, the company said.

To celebrate the occasion, an event was held at Al Shirawi Infrastructure Construction offices in Dubai Silicon Oasis in the presence of Ahmad Al Khatib, general manager, Assurance – BSI Middle East & Africa, Mathew John, business development manager – BSI Middle East & Africa, Navin Valrani, CEO, Walid Aaraj, general manager, and Krishna Kumar, general manager, Quality & Business Excellence, who led the charge for the certification.

Al Khatib said at the event: “At BSI, we are committed to helping an organisation adopt excellent businesses practices. This certificate is proof that Al Shirawi Infrastructure Construction is a customer-oriented company and has in place well-defined processes to protect their interests. We would like to congratulate the team for their hard work and take great pride in being part of their ISO journey.”

Valrani added: “Across Al Shirawi group’s businesses, customer satisfaction is an important management goal. We subscribe to ISO having learned from experience that a high-level internal structure and system to check compliance with customer requirements is critical to ensuring client satisfaction. The group will continue to provide the technical and financial resources to support Al Shirawi Infrastructure to reach new heights. ”

The ISO certification was completed over a period of five months and involved over 24 sessions to define critical processes, four days of internal audit and four sessions of management review meetings, the company said.

A few months back, Al Shirawi FM was accredited by the Dubai Government’s Regulatory & Supervisory Bureau (RSB) for Electricity and Water as an Energy Services Company (ESCO).
