Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, chairman of SPWD, said that the housing project was implemented in response to an increase in the number of students at Al Qasimia University, which he described as one of the country's most specialised universities in Islamic studies.

With the student housing project, SPWD aims to provide the university’s students with modern housing and a safe environment, WAM added.
