Dubai Municipality's Health and Safety Department has urged operators of games and recreational areas to ensure the health and safety of the rides available with them.

The department recently organised Recreation Zones 2017, a customer forum dedicated to the operators of all games and recreational areas in the emirate in order to engage the community involved in the business.

Eng. Sultan Al Suwaidi, Head of Public Safety Section stressed the necessity of activating the joint cooperation between the municipality and all its customers, and that the municipality does not spare any effort in supporting the employees in the entertainment sector, which is in line with its strategy.

He also expressed keenness to strengthen its relations with all customers and administration of the games and recreation facilities in the interest of both the parties.

“It’s important to regulate and develop the health and safety systems of all services provided in recreational areas, in particular, the provision of all requirements to achieve the most prominent results,” he said.

Eng. Mohammed Al Dhanhani, Head of Buildings and Activities Safety Team, gave a presentation on the strategy and role of Dubai Municipality, specifically the Health and Safety Department, in ensuring public health and safety standards are met in all recreational areas and tourist attractions in Dubai.

The authority also indicated that it is keen on visiting project sites to make sure that all health and safety procedures are in line with the regulations that should be followed in accordance with international best practices.
