Schneider Electric has announced the launch of EcoStruxure Building, an open and collaborative Internet of Things (IoT) platform for smart buildings.

In a statement, the company said that the product is specifically designed to meet the requirements of building owners and occupants, real estate developers, system integrators, and facility managers.

The platform is the newest addition to Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure product line, an IoT-enabled plug-and-play open architecture that caters to the building, data centre, industry, and infrastructure markets.

According to the company, an open architecture platform allows developers, partners, and customers to securely interact and share data via software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs).
