Dubai records $237m off-plan sales in three days

Off-plan sales worth more than $237m (AED870m) were made during Cityscape Global 2017, according to Dubai Land Department's (DLD) data. 

Furthermore, research by Property Monitor, the exhibition's data partner, showed that 617 off-plan sales transactions were registered in the week following the event.

Held between 11 and 13 September, 2017, the event saw the introduction of onsite sales for UAE projects. 

More than 45,500 attendees were recorded by the event's exhibitors.

Commenting on the transactions conducted at Cityscape Global 2017, Lynnette Abad, partner and head of Property Monitor, said: "It’s important to note that with both the registered DLD transactions during the show as well as the week after the event, off-plan sales for apartments outnumbered those for townhouses and villas.

"This highlights the shift in investors’ and end-users’ preferences, which is likely backed by the location of the property, security of investments, and income yields."
