In its March 2009 issue, Fast Company named Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) one of the world’s ‘50 Most Innovative Companies’.
The US-based magazine focused on companies which “illustrate the power and potential of innovative ideas and creative execution…the kinds of enterprises that will redefine our future and point the way to a better tomorrow.”
SOM ranked number 32 on this list and was the only architecture firm selected for inclusion in the ‘Top 50’. In its ‘10 Most Innovative Companies in Architecture’ section, SOM also ranked ahead of firms led by Zaha Hadid, Norman Foster and Renzo Piano.
