The New Doha International Airport (NDIA) will be one of the most advanced airports in the world when it opens in July 2011.
Located just to the east of Qatar's existing airport site, NDIA will have the capacity to handle 24 million passengers and 1.3 million tonnes of cargo a year. It will also be the new home of Qatar Airways.
The tender closing date for the first part of the third phase of works has been extended to May 7.
