The Address, Dubai Mall will feature contemporary, Arabian-influenced interiors by Singapore’s DP Design, it was recently revealed. The 245-room property is owned and operated by Emaar Hospitality Group’s The Address Hotels + Resorts brand and is scheduled to open later this year.

Notable architectural features of the 245-room hotel include a mashrabiya-patterned façade and a 21m water wall in one of the food and beverage outlets.

According to the designers, the aim was to create “a seamless continuation of the exterior into the interior”. As such, the mashrabiya motif is echoed in “Middle Eastern influences that are carefully infused to balance with a contemporary and international hospitality design language.”

The voluminous scale of the lobby sets the tone for public spaces, with materials and motifs that “present a regal, exquisite and mesmerising first experience.”

Meanwhile, rooms incorporate soothing lighting, natural colour tones and flowing shapes. “In addition, a hint of Middle Eastern culture is sprinkled into the design through the use of a lattice motif,” the designers explained.

“As the next hotel set to open in The Address Hotels + Resorts portfolio, The Address, Dubai Mall will be a vibrant addition to the Downtown Burj Dubai area,” commented Marc Dardenne, CEO of Emaar Hospitality Group.

“The hotel will uphold the ‘one-size-fits-one’ philosophy of the brand, and offer tangible guest benefits such as complete 24-hour stay service in all suites. With a unique location adjacent to The Dubai Mall, the hotel will offer special shopping packages to its guests, as well as a variety of first-class dining venues.

The hotel will also feature a five-star spa, infinity pool and state-of-the-art fitness centre, making it an ideal getaway in an urban environment,” he said.

Construction of the new luxury property, which also includes 449 serviced residences, is proceeding to schedule, with all structural and exterior cladding already in place. The interior fit-out of the hotel, serviced apartments and central podium, as well as the exterior landscaping of the property, is also nearing completion.

“Construction work is progressing as planned, with several key milestones already achieved. Apart from the completion of the structural and exterior cladding work, there has been remarkable progress in exterior landscaping, which is around 60% complete,”  Roger Marcz, general manager of The Address, Dubai Mall said.

“Simultaneously, mechanical and electrical work is being undertaken and will be finalised shortly. The interior fit-out operations of the hotel are 95% complete, with the serviced apartments and exterior podium nearing 80% and 85% completion respectively,” he said.
