Kuwait's Integrated Logistics Company (ILC) has ordered two Liebherr crawler cranes, marking a fleet expansion at the country's largest crane hire firm.

Liebherr said ILC had ordered two LR 1300 crawler cranes with a derrick boom each.

Each crane is fitted with a 62m-long main boom, and a luffing jib of 77m.

The use of the derrick boom, with a suspended counterweight, allows the cranes to have "considerably higher lifting capacity".

Liebherr said the cranes were designed for operation in refineries, and would be delivered with external air-conditioning that would cool the cabin "even when the engine is switched off".

The cranes will be delivered this May, Liebherr said in a statement.
