Changes are under way at the UAE-headquartered contracting giant, Al Naboodah Construction Group (ANCG), a senior company official told Construction Week.

David Evans, group chief executive officer (CEO) of ANCG, confirmed that the firm's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) division is being realigned as an internally focused unit.

Trans Gulf Electromechanical's services include air-conditioning and ventilation, as well as electrical and low current systems, in addition to wet services such as plumbing and drainage.

The company's scope also includes a recently launched fire safety division, named TransPro.

In a statement to Construction Week, Evans said: "Trans Gulf is being repositioned as an internally focused division primarily servicing ANCG's Civil Engineering and Building division’s portfolio of projects, as well as selected external opportunities.

"There are no changes to the Trans Gulf company name or identity, nor to Trans Pro’s trading position within the group.

"Trans Gulf [is] fully committed to delivering all current projects for our valued clients."

A part of the well-known ANCG umbrella, Trans Gulf's portfolio includes high-profile projects such as Dubai's Museum of the Future, and the Dubai International Airport Expansion scheme's third phase.
