Structural work on the $72m (AED265m) Samia Azizi residential block in Al Furjan, Dubai, has been completed.

Azizi Developments said construction of the 284-unit mid-rise building was “progressing rapidly”, with the project on track for delivery this year.

Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installation and finishing work are currently under way, and preparation for façade and elevation work has also started.

Samia Azizi is a B+G+2P+12 floor residential tower of serviced apartments, split across 137 studio flats, 124 one-bedroom apartments, and 23 two-bedroom apartments, as well as 650m² of leasable retail space, a communal swimming pool, and a gym.

Mirwais Azizi, chairman of Azizi Developments, said he hoped the residential tower would be a “valuable new addition to the community, once it is completed later this year".

Al Furjan will be connected to other parts of Dubai by the Route 2020 metro expansion line, and the Al Furjan residential district is also located near to the Al Maktoum International Airport and the site of Expo 2020 Dubai.

Samia Azizi is one of 19 mid-rise projects in the Al Furjan residential district within Azizi Developments’ portfolio.

Following round-the-clock work, Azizi Developments completed the handover of two apartment blocks in Al Furjan in March 2018: the $57.6m (AED300m) Montrell by Azizi and the $67.2m (AED350m) Roy Mediterranean projects.

The company said in January this year that it would deliver seven Al Furjan projects during the first half of 2018.
