Damac Properties said today its three projects under construction at Jumeirah Village are progressing well.
The firm’s Emirates Gardens buildings will be fully completed by the beginning of next year, with phase one due to be handed over this summer, Damac said in a statement.
Interior work and plastering as well as ducting, piping and wiring are now in progress. Meanwhile, at Emirates Gardens II construction work has reached the roof slab with two of the three buildings completed and the third one in progress, the company said.
Also on the Jumeirah Village site is Tuscan Residences, a three building complex which is due to complete next year. Currently the three four-storey buildings are about to reach the second floor.

“Whether we are starting to work inside at a property such as Emirates Gardens or still at the earlier stages of main construction at Tuscan Residences, we are showing that we are serious about delivery,” said Damac Properties CEO Peter Riddoch.
‘This is important for us as we have stated out intention to deliver more than 7,100 units by the end of 2010 and projects such as Jumeirah Village South are an important contribution to that figure.”
Riddoch said in an interview with Construction Week last week the firm was committed to construction and delivery timetables. His comments have drawn
angry criticism from investors who say they are still waiting for properties to be handed over.
“We have been working in partnership with our contractors on site to maintain our focus and to promote the importance of showing continued construction and delivery,” said Riddoch. “We hope that the different stages of progress at these three sites demonstrates that it is very much business as usual for Damac Properties.”
