Dubai Aviation City Corporation has awarded the main package of Dubai International Airport’s (DIA’s) Concourse 3 to Al Jaber Engineering & Contracting (ALEC) LLC. The scope of work includes the construction, completion and maintenance of the civil, architectural, MEP, SAS and signage works for the third concourse.
Concourse 3 will be dedicated to Emirates Airlines and will provide 20 contact gates, including 18 gates designed specifically for A380 aircraft. It will increase the passenger-handling capacity at Dubai International Airport to up to 68 million passengers a year.
ALEC is a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi based Al Jaber group, and has been executing major construction projects in the UAE since its inception in 1999. The company currently operates in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and has delivered significant landmark developments, managing to establish a distinguished name within the construction sector.
