CEO leaves Union Properties

Union Properties (UP) has accepted the resignation of Simon E. Azzam, its long-serving chief executive officer. According to a statement, Simon Azzam has decided to 'dedicate his time to other pursuits'.

A spokesperson for UP said: “We would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the BOD, Management and staff of UP to sincerely wish Mr. Azzam every success in his future endeavors, especially after such a long relationship together.”

The company has appointed Khalid Al Jarwan as general manager. Al Jarwan has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Tulsa University. His experience includes seven years with ADMA-OPCO, part of the Adnoc Group, as head of projects, and five years with Dubai Investments Group.
