Al Barari, the 14.2 million square foot botanical development in Dubai, has established its own facilities management division under the Wojood banner, the Arabic word meaning ‘existence’.
Robert Hunter heads up the division, responsible for providing fully integrated management services for all the facilities within the US$6.4 billion development, of which 80 percent is given over to gardens and open space.
Of the move, Hunter said: “Wojood already employs a multi-skilled workforce supported by an external team of contractors responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of all infrastructure and utility services throughout the development, including site buildings.”
The team includes electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, HVAC, cleaning and security for Al Barari and will expand its services as the different stages and requirements of the project are completed.
