Dubai's Business Bay master development is slowly taking shape.
Dubai Properties has given progress at its flagship Business Bay development a clean bill of health, and has indicated that a second substation is set for completion in September.
The 80 million square-foot development saw the first substation come online in February this year to power its first and second phases, while a third substation will be built on the north side of the project.
'The unprecedented logistics and scale of construction that encompasses the development is closely supervised by Dubai Properties and relevant business partners and stakeholders, and we are determined to deliver all foundational function in a timely manner,” said Mohamed Binbrek, group CEO of Dubai Properties Group.
“In line with the progression of key infrastructural networks, Dubai Properties is continuously implementing improvements to the development, ensuring that all areas receive adequate attention and enhancement wherever needed,” added Binbrek.
Dubai Properties indicated that a comprehensive road network has been laid out, and that two parallel roads are being built to the east and west of the project by the Road and Transport Authority (RTA).
In addition, the developer stated that a major portion of a thorough water network was also completed last year and is scheduled to open ‘soon’, with an internal sewage network also due to come online in the near future.
