The US $10 billion Marsa Zayed project, based in the Jordanian port city of Aqaba.
Real estate development firm Al Maabar, based in Abu Dhabi, has awarded a six-month project management contract to KEO International Consultants to work on the US $10 billion Marsa Zayed development in the Jordanian port city of Aqaba.
Ground-breaking on the 3.2 kilometre-square project – the largest tourism project in Jordanian history - is scheduled for early next year.
The site will encompass residential towers, retail, recreational, entertainment, business and financial districts and several branded hotels, as well as a yacht marine.
“Our Marsa Zayed project is one of the most significant projects under development in the region. A project of this scale will act as a major economic stimulus and its impact will not only be felt in Aqaba but also throughout Jordan and the wider region,” said Al Maabar CEO Abdullah Hageali.
“We have awarded this contract to KEO International Consultants because their vast experience and professionalism will help guarantee the success of this iconic development,” Hageali added.
KEO will be responsible for master planning, landscape design, infrastructure design, marketing, promotion and validation, feasibility studies, traffic and environmental impact assessments, design reviews and cost-related services.
