Dhabi Contracting takes on new Dubailand contract

Dhabi Contracting has won a key contract from the owners of Dubailand's City of Arabia complex to build the city's low-rise apartments and waterfront community.

The firm beat off competition from four other companies and is now starting foundation work at the Wadi Walk site, where soil testing, excavation and shoring work has already been completed.

Dhabi is already working for the site owner, Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group, as its main contractor for Mall of Arabia.

“With around 1,000 workers and 40 engineers on site for Mall of Arabia, we have now introduced approximately 500 more to build Wadi Walk,” said Sami Edwards, managing director of Dhabi Contracting.

“This contract agreement is a continuation of our relationship with the Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group, and we are all excited to see Wadi Walk come to life.”
