New cooling system for summer heat

Panasonic has introduced a new air conditioning system capable of cooling a building when outside temperature is 54 degrees Celsius, it was revealed today.

The system, said to be the first of its kind, is a combined, single unit air purifying and air conditioning system, which has been launched for the Saudi Arabia market.

“The effect of global warming is more severe in a desert environment, and respite from searing temperatures and sandstorms are crucial to maintain the region's way of life,” said Panasonic Marketing Middle East project manager Yasushi Sugita.

“These products were designed specifically to combat the Middle East's harsh natural elements. Innovative purifying system and powerful cooling boosters, all add to the need of the hour.”

In consideration of the severe temperature conditions in the desert regions of the Middle East, units feature a compressor and fan motor to maintain room comfort under the hottest conditions.

Performances of air-conditioners are directly related to the condensers. Panasonic's anti-rusting coating increases the life span of its condensers by an additional three years. In humid conditions, this new coating offers added protection.
