The building collapsed in Deira
A recently constructed G+5 storey building has collapsed in the Deira area of Dubai.
The building, located next to the Ramada Continental hotel on Galadari Road, collapsed at around 4pm.
According to eyewitness Garo Khorznian, who was in one in of the neighbouring buildings, there was a tremor "like an earthquake" around 4pm as the building collapsed. He also reported seeing workers being loaded into ambulances.
"About half the building has collapsed," he said. "It's a new building, it's only just been completed."
